Transforming an Orphanage in Ranchi, Jharkhand

In early 2019, Bringing Life Home was dedicated to improving the lives of the children at the Maharishi Balmiki Viklang Evam Anath KalyanSavashram Sanstha orphanage in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Home to 50 children between the ages of 5 and 14, this orphanage has become a focal point of care and support, with a vision to provide a better, more functional living and learning environment.

With the generous support of donors, the team at Bringing Life Home was able to make significant strides in upgrading the orphanage. The facility, which has 9 rooms in total—four classrooms, four lodging rooms, and one office—has undergone a total transformation. A major part of the renovation was the addition of clean, usable restrooms—improvements that have drastically enhanced the living conditions for the children.

To close out 2019 on a high note, Bringing Life Home hosted a charity paint night event, raising awareness about the project and further funding the work being done at the orphanage. This event, along with the unwavering support from donors, has played a vital role in improving the orphanage and creating a better future for its residents. Thanks to the donations, the orphanage now features proper doors, windows, and essential bathroom facilities, ensuring the children’s safety, comfort, and dignity.
